Stuck in an everyday routine and struggling to make ends meet, Kristofer is like fish on dry land. Just out of prison after having been busted for alcohol smuggling, when he took the fall for his fellow crew members on the freight ship, he turns to an old friend for advice. Together they come up with a plan to get Kristofer on the right track. The friend, a successful, well connected contractor persuades the manager of the shipping company to give Kristofer a second chance. Reunited with his old mates, Kristofer sails off to Rotterdam. He soon realizes that his problems have only just starting.
