25% to 35% REBATE

The reimbursement scheme offered in Iceland is simple and efficient. Iceland State Treasury offers reimbursement of up to 35% of the cost incurred during the production of films and television programs in Iceland. Production cost payments to employees and contractors are accepted if they are verifiably taxable in Iceland.

Films and television programs made in Iceland receive European content status and can thus be released in Europe without affecting any quotas on the release of non-European content material.
