KING AND CONQUEROR

King and Conqueror is an upcoming historical television drama series for BBC Studios and CBS from Michael Robert Johnson, starring James Norton as Harold Godwinson and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William the Conqueror.

William of Normandy and Harold of Wessex were two individuals destined to meet at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; they were allies but had no claim to the British monarchy until fate drove them into a conflict over the country’s crown.

RVK Studios and Baltasar Kormákur were set to create a mediaeval series with CBS Studios. The series was filmed at RVK Studios facilities in Gufunes 2024 and Baltasar Kormákur directs the first episode. The post-production of the episodes is also done by the company.

The series will be released 2025.
